Introduction
The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 acts on prevention of new and reducing the existing risk. The Framework was adopted at the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan, on March 18, 2015. Its main aim is to considerably reduce disaster risks and losses of lives, livelihoods, and health, and in the economic, physical, social, cultural and environmental assets of persons, businesses, communities and countries.

The course is suitable for local government officials, disaster management professionals, audiences working in funding agencies, and research and non-government organizations for Emergency response and representatives from academic and training institutions working on disaster risk reduction.

Methodology
The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprise of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
