IGBC - Green Legue (IGL) 2019

West Bengal is one of the fastest growing states in the country in terms of green footprint with more than 350 projects equivalent to approx 190 million sq ft. However, the number of qualified IGBC Accredited Professionals (IGBC AP) from the state is only 87.

To enhance capacity building related to green buildings in West Bengal and India, CII - Indian Green Building Council - IGBC has launched the IGBC Green League (IGL). The 4th edition of IGL is being conducted in 2019. IGL is a first-of-its-kind, unique learning experience for stakeholders in the building sector through tutorials spread over 4 days (Friday / Saturday) and finally culminating in Quiz competition.

IGL tutorials would include topics primarily on: 1) tangible and intangible benefits of latest green building design, construction and operation concepts; 2) green building products and technologies; 3) Health & Well-being elements in green buildings; 4) operation and maintenance strategies for green buildings; 5) IGBC Ratings and Certification process; 6) Case studies.

The faculty for the sessions would be CII - Indian Green Building Council - IGBC officials and guest speakers with industry experience. Other details are appended below for your ready reference:

Fee: INR 10,000 per individual participant from IGBC Members and INR 12,500 per individual participant from non-members (in case, participants are nominated by their organizations, it is requested to nominate a minimum of 2 participants so that they can form a team during the quiz)
Time & Dates: 10 am to 4 pm on 21, 22, 29 June and 6 July (date for the quiz would be announced on the last day of the training)

Venue: CII - Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence for Leadership (behind City Centre, DC-36, Sector 1, Salt Lake City Kolkata)

Deliverables to participants (complimentary):
- Hard copies of IGBC Ratings as study materials viz. Green Homes, Green New Buildings (commercial), Green Factory Buildings & Green Existing Building (O & M)
- Presentation copies (soft copy of tutorials)
- Single attempt for IGBC Accredited Professional Examination (valid till 31 Dec 2019)
- Participation certificates
- Lunch / Tea / Snacks on all 4 days of the training
- The last date to confirm participation: 19 June.
