In this webinar, you will learn how magnet dimensioning impacts the performance of  permanent magnet machines and how to optimize your BLDC machine design. We will first study how magnet sizing affects the back EMF and cogging torque in the no load position. Then we will analyse the generated torque when the stator is excited with a DC current as well as a sinusoidal current. The various tradeoffs in performance as different magnet dimensions are varied will be assessed using our MotorWizard package, a Gold Certified add-in to SOLIDWORKS.
