Hold'em Power Poker Ride

Are you ready to go ALL IN?
Join the Rails to Trails Explorers Club for an unforgettable day of pedaling and poker in Walnut Creek. Meet at The Waymark ready to ride, then kick off on a journey through city and nature with some special game-related stops along the way. Make sure to bring your bike, your helmet, and your poker face because once the ride ends the Texas Hold'Em tournament begins, and you'll be competing against your fellow riders for a shot at our Grand Prize.  

Who Can Ride?  
We welcome and encourage riders of all skill levels to join the fun and offer two unique routes that differ in length and difficulty. This way, you'll be in control of your ride experience, whether you choose to challenge yourself as a High Roller, riding the 19 mile Iron Horse Danville Loop,  or simply cruise as an Easy Rider, riding just under 12 miles along the Ygnacio Canal Trail. Additionally, though our ride is not a race, there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition on the trail or at the table, so feel free to form teams with your friends or challenge yourself to meet a goal if you choose to ride solo.  

How Does the Game Work?  
At two points along the route riders will stop at a pop-up tents for water, snacks, and a poker chip. After riders cross the finish line back at The Waymark, these poker chips will serve as the "entry fee" to the Texas Hold'em tournament taking place at The Waymark Paseo. The rest of the afternoon will consist of mingling, music, food, and beverages all while riders take their turn at the table and compete for a spot in the Championship round to decide the Grand Prize Winner.

What is the Rails To Trails Explorer's Club?
The Rails to Trails Explorers Club (R2TEC) is a social club sponsored by The Waymark apartments in Walnut Creek. This club is for adventurers and inquisitors just like you, dedicated to showcasing the dynamic potential for adventure, of all types, tastes, and terrains, in the East Bay. With outings and events ranging from bike tours to food and wine tastings, The Rails to Trails Explorers Club celebrates life in East Bay made possible by our natural surroundings and local businesses.
