Harvard University South Asia Institute’s initiative on Women’s Economic and Social Rights in India
Harvard University South Asia Institute (SAI), in a collaborative endeavour with the Tata Trusts, is organising the final event of its project on “Educational, Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in India.” The event will be held on Thursday, 22 December 2016 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi. Padma Bhushan Dr. Ela Bhatt, Founder, SEWA would be the chief guest on the occasion.
The evening will include an overview and presentation on the impact of the project by Harvard faculty Professor Jacqueline Bhabha and Professor Martha Chen, regional experts, and a panel discussion. Three publications compiled by Harvard faculty and eminent experts in the area will also be released on this occasion. These include:
