You will hear the challenges we faced in 2020, the critical work we make possible and be inspired by our vision for the future.
Presentation of the Voices for Justice Award to Professor Patty Loew, journalist, teacher, writer, and activist for Native American rights, author of Indian Nations of Wisconsin: Histories of Endurance and Renewal.
Performance - Li Chiao-Ping, artistic director of Li Chaio-Ping Dance.
Keynote speaker Professor David Pate Jr., an expert on low income African-American men, fatherhood, and child support. Dr. Pate studies how black men are affected by the social welfare system and the challenges that impede their ability to attain economic security.
His research projects involve the use of qualitative research methods to examine life course events of African-American men and boys.
Please come and be part of this work to advocate for policies and programs that address poverty, hunger, homelessness, and racial and economic injustice. You will help us remain responsive to the fight for immigrant's rights, worker's rights, health care reform, racial justice, voting rights, and interfaith understanding.
