On 29 January, as part of Independent Venue Week, Gits and Shiggles Comedy presents a special fundraiser for Missing People, with a cracking line-up.
Hal Cruttenden
Gits and Shiggles favourite and one of the sharpest stand-ups working today, with appearances on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, The John Bishop Show, The Royal Variety Performance and Channel 4's Comedy Gala.
Andy Zaltzman
One of the UK's finest political satirists, Andy Zaltzman is the host of the critically acclaimed The Bugle podcast - one of his frequent collaborations with John Oliver, which also include the BBC Radio series Political Animal and The Department.
Lucy Pearman
Unforgettable absurdist character clown, Lucy Pearman has appeared in Spencer Jones' show The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk as well as the BBC Radio 4 show Tim Key's Late Night Poetry Programme.
Rachel Fairburn
Incredible stand-up and co-host of the critically acclaimed All Killa No Filla podcast (chosen by The Guardian as one of the best podcasts of 2018).
Kiri Pritchard-McLean
One of the fastest rising and critically acclaimed stand-ups working today. She won rave reviews for her 2018 show Victim, Complex (which she previewed at Gits and Shiggles last year), co-hosts the hit podcast All Killa No Filla, co-created and co-hosts the smash hit Edinburgh shows Amusical, has won the Chortle Award for Best Club Compere and is a writer and director of Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated sketch group Gein's Family Giftshop. A true comedy behemoth and renaissance woman.
John Kearns
Gits and Shiggles regular John Kearns won the highest accolade in comedy, the 2014 Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show Schtick, only one year after winning the 2013 Fosters Best Newcomer Award. While his rise has been meteoric it is nothing less than deserved and he remains one of Gits and Shiggles favourite comedians.
