Wed Apr 17 (8pm-12am / Free entry) - Time for our (3rd Weds) monthly cutting edge jazz trip as GW Jazz presents "Future JAZZ Now!", showcasing the "Now and Next Generation" of JAZZ talent in the UK. Acts that you might not have heard of (yet) but will definitely be big names on the JAZZ landscape in the near future. All acts bringing pure jazz fire alongside your host and local legend GW JAZZ.

TILe and AXEL (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 live sets

Trumpeter, Composer and Bandleader Axel Kaner-Lindstrom and Tile Gichigi-Lipere, producer, dj and all round electronic wizard, have been important members in the London/UK music renaissance known as “The New London Jazz Scene”. Individually and collectively, they’ve been part of and contributed to important bands including Myriad Forest, Levitation, Orchestra, and Cykada.

Tile and Axel share a long music history, from the early days of the London Jazz scene to collaborating on two albums with heavy-hitters, Cykada. During this time the two of them spoke of launching a duo project countless times.

Good things come to those who wait and they have united their immense musical talent and experience into a project that is an expression of their friendship, their love of music that makes your face screw up, and surrendering to wild and free improvisations, following the inner voice to revel in the beauty of the moment.
