The Great Pickle Show

The Edible Ohio Valley Schoolhouse is thrilled to announce the debut of the Great Pickle Show, a delectable fall celebration dedicated to the time-honored art of pickling. Scheduled for October 29, 2023, from 11 to 6 p.m. at Carriage House Farm, this event promises to be a brine-tastic experience for all pickle enthusiasts.

The Great Pickle Show aims to bring together pickle aficionados, food lovers, and the community for a day of fun, food, and festivities. The event will feature an array of vendors, live bands performing throughout the day, and a dazzling display of pickles with pickled entries spanning seven categories! In addition, we anticipate welcoming more than 500 attendees to savor the pickle.

Our mission goes beyond pickles and is two-fold: (1) to celebrate and promote the cherished tradition of pickling and (2) to raise $10,000 for educational programs aimed at fortifying our local food system. These programs, slated for 2024, encompass pickling classes, cooking with locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, and creating immersive educational experiences for elementary schools on Cincinnati's west side. Meeting our fundraising goal will enable us to provide essential supplies, compensate educators, and promote these invaluable programs.

Together, we can make the Great Pickle Show an unforgettable celebration of pickling, community, and culinary delights.
