GRASS ROOTS LIVE MONTHLY JAZZ SESSION INCOMING! Thu Apr 04 (7pm-12am/Free Entry) - Grass Roots continues its well inspired monthly live jazz session. GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up and coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present accomplished guitarist, Trinity Laban Alumni, Arranger and Composer Australian Jazz Guitarist, SAURABH SHIVAKUMAR (LIVE), Free Entry, deep in the lounge at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

GRASS ROOTS serving as a 1st Thursday monthly platform for promising artists to ‘polish their chops and play their own choons’. These fresh and fully inclusive sessions are a must attend for patrons and participants alike.

SAURABH SHIVAKUMAR (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

Saurabh Shivakumar is an accomplished guitarist and an alumnus of Trinity Laban’s prestigious BMus Jazz program. As a passionate arranger and composer, he's driven by a desire to create and captivate. 

His most notable collaboration was on the remarkable project ‘Prom No. 18 – Tribute to Lata Mangeshkar’ last year, which was conducted by the great Michael Seal and featured Indian singing sensation Palak Muchhal. Saurabh showcased his performance and arranging skills alongside the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). This endeavour highlighted his knack for seamlessly blending his talents with renowned musicians. It was live from the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London, and broadcast nationally on BBC Radio 3, BBC Four as well as the BBC Asian Network.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
