Celebrate Halloween at the historic Mauch Chunk Opera House, with The Slambovian Circus of Dreams in the spooky cool old mining town of Jim Thorpe, PA. on Saturday, October 28th, 8 pm. With vocals as “soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic,” Slambovian bard Joziah is ringmaster and oracle with Tink, Sharkey and the rest of the band bringing their own magic to the stage. For a perfect Halloween weekend full of adventure, Jim Thorpe also has “Ghost Walks,” train rides in the misty Pocono mountains and lots of shops and restaurants all around the Opera House. Costumes welcome! Hosted by the Slambovians, this Halloween show features a return of fan favorites, “Black Jack Davey and the Scurvy Dogs” and an ongoing “Rock’n Roll Seance,” channeling the ‘ghosts of rock’ alongside the spookiest Slambovian tunes. Likened to an array of artists including the Waterboys, Jethro Tull, The Decemberists, or a quirkier Tom Petty, their quirky Americana and Zen-like anthems evoke a universe entirely of their own making... you're guaranteed a rockin' rollercoaster of whimsical, thought-provoking songs. Let your imagination go wild with this year's theme: "Spooky Circus Fantasy.” Pirates also welcome.
