Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Sutton cum Lound, Retford October 2021

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Village Hall, Sutton-cum-Lound on Friday October 15th.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Headlining the launch will be musical stand-up Richard Morton, who has supported Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus on tour as well as having many TV credits to his name. This livewire Geordie comic is full of surprises and frantic energy, bounding around the stage like an overgrown child on a massive sugar rush and then entertaining his audience with his hilarious songs.

Support comes from Greek, George Zach who has appeared on BBC 1's 'The One Show' and supported Luisa Omielan on tour. After gaining a degree in England he decided not to return to his home on a Greek Island. Instead, he chose to follow his passion for comedy, live in Newcastle and now entertains audiences with his funny Geordie observations.

Completing the line-up is the very funny and highly talented Patrick Draper, who took the comedy world by storm after winning a string of new act competitions, with his deadpan delivery, witty one-liners, killer punch lines and ridiculous short stories.

Compere for the night will be the calm and carefree, writer and stand-up Tony Cowards. His smart and hilariously stupid jokes, always leaves people rolling in the aisles!
