Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Papplewick, Notts April 2022

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Griffins Head, Papplewick on Thursday April 14th.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Topping the bill is winner of ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' the instantly loveable and unique Patrick Monahan, with his trademark hyperactive and freewheeling charm. Following the release of his debut DVD he was a guest on Loose Women and also appeared alongside Philip Schofield and Jason Manford on ITV's Comedy Annual. More recently he appeared on ITV's Splash. Of Irish-Iranian decent, but brought up on Teeside he shares tales of his memories. He exudes warmth and charisma; his friendly style mixed with his hilarious story telling leaves his audiences wanting for more.

Opening the night is Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of 'It's a Fair Cop' in 2014,  it is now in its sixth series.   A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.

Completing the line-up will be Anthony King; his droll deadpan humour, combined with his material about his own true-life experiences, is mixed in with a whole bunch of lies and topped off with some hilarious songs.
Compere for the night is the cheeky and friendly Stevie Gray with his boundless energy and mix of news and comedy.
