Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Daventry September 2022

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Sheaf Street Health Store, Daventry on Friday September 30th.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Topping the bill is the animated Sean Heydon, one of the country's premier comedy magicians, who has appeared on various TV shows, including Britain's Got Talent where he got a unanimous 4 yesses from the judges and Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show, as the resident illusionist. With his unique style, he captivates the crowds, often receiving standing ovations.

Opening the night will be sharp and intuitive Irishman Keith Farnan, who has performed as a stand-up all over the world, from Montreal, to Amsterdam, to Hong Kong and has appeared on radio and TV including Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Both charismatic and bold he delivers his witty anecdotes with impressive ingenuity and a twinkle in his eye. His scintillating and sometimes biting material never fails to enthral his audiences.

Completing the line-up will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour. Having worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, he went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his 'Walk of Fame'; experiences which have added to his comedy writing ideas.
 
Compere for the night is Pete Teckman who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.
