Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Coventry December 2021

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Esquires Coffee, Coventry on Friday December 3rd.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Headlining the launch will be the animated Sean Heydon, one of the country's premier comedy magicians, who has appeared on various TV shows, including Britain's Got Talent where he got a unanimous 4 yesses from the judges and Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show, as the resident illusionist. With his unique style, he captivates the crowds, often receiving standing ovations.

Support comes from Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of 'It's a Fair Cop' in 2014,  it is now in its sixth series. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.

Completing the line-up is the deadpan Peter Brush, who was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award 2013 and has written for BBC Radio 4's 'The News Quiz'; as well as supporting Arthur Smith and Stephen K Amos on tour. Sometimes referred to as a geek, his mind seems to find the oddities in 'normality'! His imaginative use of words and strange lines of thought, results in unique and sharp material.

Host and compere for the night will be the cheerful and chatty Spiky Mike
