Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Banbury October 2021

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Banbury Utd FC on Friday October 1st.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Headlining the launch will be the award winning Nathan Caton, star of radio and TV, including TV's Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Russell Howard's Good News and BBC Radio 4's 'Can't Tell Nathan Caton Nothing', which had its 3rd series in 2014. He started his comedy career as a 19 year old and immediately started winning awards. He has been called the most exciting young black comic on the circuit and combines his laidback, clear-cut material with his art of cutting down 'fools' both in everyday life and the media. 

Support comes from finalist in the 2018 English Comedian Of The Year competition and 'So You Think You're Funny' Finalist 2013, the dead pan Tom Taylor. His unique brand of musical comedy is smart and silly in equal measure and he boasts an impressive stock of quirky, and very funny, musical one-liners.

Completing the line-up is Steve Hall who as well as supporting Russell Howard on tour has also written for TV's Russell Howard's Good News. A member of 'We Are Klang' with Greg Davies and Marek Larwood his deadpan wit is apparent. He captivates his audiences with his mix of intellectual logic, rambling observations and verbalization.

Compere for the night will be the calm and carefree, writer and stand-up Tony Cowards. His smart and hilariously stupid jokes, always leaves people rolling in the aisles!
