Funhouse Comedy brings another outstanding day of comedy to the covered beer garden stage at The New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield on Sunday July 17th with its second Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer.
2.00pm - Glenn Moore - Will You Still Need Me, Will You Still Feed Me, Glenn I'm Sixty Moore.
'The best showcase of pure joke-writing skill on the Fringe' (Guardian). Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and one of the best and most prolific joke-writers of his generation, Glenn really puts in another shift. Mock The Week and The Stand-Up Sketch Show regular. As heard on The News Quiz, The Now Show and sidekick on Absolute Radio's The Dave Berry Breakfast Show. Proud owner of a House of Games tankard. **** (Guardian, Chortle.co.uk, Scotsman, Herald).
3.25pm - Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre - Eurovision Sock Contest
Earth's funniest footwear are back with their latest comedy hour. Fresh from their appearance on Britain's Got Talent, they bring you a whole song contest for your voting pleasure. With entries from everyone from Scandinavia to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, from the Eastern Bloc to the country of your choice, who will win? You decide. Expect the usual songs, sketches, and gags sans frontieres.
4.50pm - Brennan Reece - Crowded
Finally allowed to reconnect with human people again, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Brennan has forgotten how to do it and needs your help. You'd think he'd be amazing with crowds after being on Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Coach Trip and Joe Lycett's tour. But the world just seems a bit much. Sounds really lockdowny doesn't it? But it's not. Promise. It's a show about you, me and all the others.
6.15pm - Nina Gilligan - Late Developer
Nina Gilligan is a so-called 'late developer'. She's never hit a single milestone and at 50 is still trying to grasp the complex rules of womanhood. She knows she's not alone. As her eggs deplete and her body becomes hotter than earth's core she is certain only of one thing: she refuses to go on a cruise. Both outrageous and loveable. A circuit favourite. Leicester Mercury Comedy award winner 2021.
7.30pm - Jon Pearson - What Have You Been Up Too
Crowned Best MC in the Midlands, 2022 - presents his unscripted, unfiltered and unplanned award-winning Leicester Comedy Festival performance plus his brand-new Spotify / iTunes album. Tour support for Darren Harriott and Lucy Porter, Jon crafts a one-off performance of a lifetime with his quick wit and sharp comebacks that take the audience on a hilarious and captivating comedy ride.
8.45pm - Liam Pickford
BBC Radio 2 new comedian semi-finalist 2012 and runner up chortle student comedy awards 2015, with his indifferent and grouchy style he delivers uniquely perfected punch-lines and clever observations with a touch of fantasy.
