Funhouse Comedy Club - Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer in Derby July 2022

Funhouse Comedy brings another outstanding day of comedy to the beer garden stage at Bar One, Derby on Sunday July 31st with its second Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer. 

2.00pm - Brennan Reece - Crowded
Finally allowed to reconnect with human people again, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Brennan has forgotten how to do it and needs your help. You'd think he'd be amazing with crowds after being on Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Coach Trip and Joe Lycett's tour. But the world just seems a bit much. Sounds really lockdowny doesn't it? But it's not. Promise. It's a show about you, me and all the others.

3.25pm - Friz Frizzle 
The sometimes self-disparaging musical comedian, with his individual anecdotes and speedily delivered song parodies.
 
4.50pm - Patrick Monahan - Classy
In a world of groups, hierarchies and class systems, everyone's trying so hard to fit in. What's wrong with being a misfit? Be you, be proud! From the caravan to the middle-class neighbourhood, it's taken Monahan four decades to realise this. Enjoy Monahan's stand-up observations on living a contemporary life. 

6.15pm - Glenn Wool 
Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit having performed in Australia, New Zealand, The USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards and twice Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards.

7.30pm - Ali Cook 
Highly talented magician, comedian, actor and film producer. His irreverent persona and respected sleight of hand have made him one of the pioneers of the alternative magician scene. He has already written and performed seven British television series and he appeared alongside Bob Hoskins in the film, Outside Bet. His anarchic illusions and stand up have attracted a large and diverse audience appeal.

8.45pm - Andrew Maxwell - Krakatoa
Double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee. 'Furiously funny' (Times). 'One of the funniest men in Britain' (Telegraph). 'If you can only see one stand-up act, see Maxwell' (Mirror). He's the winner of the Time Out Award for Best Live Comic, Chortle's Best Live Comedian and Channel 4's King Of Comedy. As seen on Live at the Apollo, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Have I Got News For You, QI, Mock the Week and the winner of Celebrity Mastermind. Andrew is also the voice of MTV's Ex On The Beach.

Doors open 1:30pm

£10 in advance for a full day ticket
£6 evening ticket (after 6pm)

Takes place on the outdoor stage in the covered beer garden. Food available.
