Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Towcester June 2023

Funhouse Comedy is back at Towcester Mill Brewery on Thursday June 29th for a laughter-packed night.

Topping the bill is the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who recently appeared on 'Britain's Got Talent.' Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance.

Opening the night will be the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show 'Feed This Black Man'. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Also appearing is author and comedian, the witty and charming Dave Chawner with his personal tales.

Compere for the night will be Pete Teckman who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self deprecating and observational humour.
