Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Oakham December 2023

Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the Grainstore Brewery, Oakham on Thursday December 28th for a night full of laughter.

Topping the bill is 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who recently made his 'Live at the Apollo' debut and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time. He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who was busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his 'Stand Up From The Shed' online show.

Opening the night will be International stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, who has appeared on ITV's 'Tonight at The London Palladium' and is currently one of the 'chasers' on ITV's quiz show The Chase and writer/host/presenter of Paul Sinha's History Revision on Radio 4. The eloquent and intelligent ex-GP has found the perfect balance of mixing politics with comedy. His one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass and engaging warmth, creating a hugely entertaining and captivating set.

Completing the line-up is the deadpan Peter Brush, who was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award 2013 and has written for BBC Radio 4's 'The News Quiz'; as well as supporting Arthur Smith and Stephen K Amos on tour. Sometimes referred to as a geek, his mind seems to find the oddities in 'normality'! His imaginative use of words and strange lines of thought, results in unique and sharp material.

Compere for the night will be the calm and carefree, writer and stand-up Tony Cowards. His smart and hilariously stupid jokes, always leaves people rolling in the aisles!
