Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Leek December 2019

Funhouse Comedy Club brings another night full of fun and laughter to Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday December 5th.

Headlining is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he enthrals his audiences.

Support from Sally-Anne Hayward, a talented radio presenter, actor and comedian. She appeared in series 4 of BBC's 'Absolutely Fabulous' and was also a warm-up for the likes of Channel 4's 'Deal or No Deal'. Confident, sharp and never a 'girly, girl', she learned to use her somewhat unctuous charm and disconcerting belligerence to get many more laughs than she could have imagined.

Also appearing will be the down to earth and madcap Lindsey Santoro, recounting tales of her misadventures in life, in her unique side-splitting style.

Completing the line-up is the clever and funny Rob Coleman, whose material ranges from the dark to the ridiculous.

Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds, winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for the last 4 years, who captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing humour.
