Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the Guildhall Arts Centre Ballroom on Thursday September 28th for a night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee 2022 Josh Pugh, who has appeared on 'Hypothetical', 'Mock The Week' and 'Question Team' and supported Joe Lycett on tour. Winner of English Comedian of the Year 2016 and Best New Act at Midlands Comedy Awards 2014 and 2016, he has also written for '8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown', 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks', 'Newsjack'
and 'The Now Show'. With his unusual and original wit he captivates the crowd leaving them wanting for more.
Opening the night will be the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he enthralls his audiences.
Also appearing is singer, guitarist and comedian Ronnie Golden, who appeared in 'The Young Ones' hanging upside down from the ceiling as Buddy Holly still in his parachute.
Completing the line-up will be the fascinating Stephen Catling with his outlook on work as an autistic person and the struggles it can bring in the world as it is.
Compere for the night is the lively and likeable Spiky Mike.
