Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Cirencester March 2023

Funhouse Comedy Club brings another great night of laughter to The Kings Head Hotel, Cirencester on Thursday March 9th.

Topping the bill is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates his audiences.

Opening the night will be the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV's Britain's Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition and has just supported Jason Manford on his arena tour. Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria. 

Completing the line-up is 'Brummie' funny man Tom Christian joint winner of 2015 Midland Comedy Awards New Act with his wonderfully clever routines and complex and silly wordplay.

Compere for the night will be winner of Silver Stand Up Competition 2022, the cheery and chatty Nik Hill.
