Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Chilwell, Notts September 2023

Funhouse Comedy is back at The Garage, Chilwell (Barton's) Nottingham on Friday September 22nd for more fun and laughter.

Topping the bill is the somewhat cynical and gloomy Mike Gunn, who despite this has the ability to get the crowd on his side, however far he pushes! In his first Edinburgh Festival Show, he appeared as a funeral director! He has appeared on numerous TV programmes, including Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Celebrity Deal or no Deal (CH 4), and Harry Hill's TV Burp (ITV). He has also been a contributor for The Guardian and written for Time Out, The List and Match of the Day Magazine and was support for Lee Mack on a huge theatre tour.

Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the diminutive Andy Askins, who has appeared on BBC1's The John Bishop Show; his air of vulnerability and innocent child-like qualities mislead the crowd heightening the impact of his killer lines. With his guitar and his wickedly dry sense of humour, he captivates everybody with an eclectic mix of offbeat comical songs and parodies. A talented musician with an appealing voice and cheeky magnetism, he never fails to leave his mark.

Completing the line-up is Nelson Gombakomba a wonderfully charming African comic, who shares his stories of living in ultra-white Norfolk!

Compere for the night will be the tremendously smart and silly Stephanie Laing.
