Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ashby de la Zouch July 2023

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday July 6th for a great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show 'Feed This Black Man'. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be Mandy Muden the only woman ever to combine comedy and magic on the UK comedy circuit. She has appeared on numerous TV programmes including most recently ITV's 'Britain's Got Talent' where the judges loved her and gave her a standing ovation, taking her through to the semi-finals; as well as 'Celebrity Come Dine With Me' and 'The World's Greatest Magic'. Her string of mad, disastrous tricks and ridiculous jokes leaves her audience in tears of laughter.

Also appearing is actor, writer, comedian and 'So You Think You're Funny' winner Finlay Christie. Having over 170k+ followers and 8 million likes on TikTok, his sketches are immensely popular, amassing over 100 million views on YouTube and TikTok.

Completing the line-up is the funny and fast paced Trevor Bickles.

Compere for the night will be the cheery and chatty Spiky Mike.
