Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ashby de la Zouch January 2025

Funhouse Comedy opens the New Year at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday January 2nd with a great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is International stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, who has appeared on ITV's 'Tonight at The London Palladium' and is currently one of the 'chasers' on ITV's quiz show The Chase and writer/host/presenter of Paul Sinha's History Revision on Radio 4. The eloquent and intelligent ex-GP has found the perfect balance of mixing politics with comedy. His one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass and engaging warmth, creating a hugely entertaining and captivating set.

Opening the night will be actor, stand-up and winner of the English Comedian of The Year 2015 the appealing Brennan Reece, who has appeared on 'Live at the Apollo' and supported Rob Brydon and Joe Lycett on tour. His lively and sometimes uncomfortable attitude to life is perceptible in his fast paced, vibrantly drawn, hilarious tales.

Also appearing will be David Eagle, winner of 2018's Nottingham Comedy Festival New Comedian Of The Year and member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning band The Young'uns, with his various side-splitting-stories about being blind.

Completing the line-up is Hastings Comedy Festival Newcomer of the Year 2024 Madeleine Bee.

Compere for the night will be the energetic and animated Spiky Mike.
