The premiere of writer/director Bill Doty's Fugued Up by Blue Banner Films and Senestre Creative will premiere at the Egyptian Theater May 4th at 7pm. Local actors Joshua Malloy, Chance Fuerstinger, Chelsea Klikunas as well as Larry Thomas (Seinfeld's Soup Nazi), Joe Estevez (Baby Ghost, Soul Taker), Jan Broberg (Everwood), Janet Lo (Second Jen) and David H Stevens (Punch Drunk Love) round out the cast.
Fugued Up is a dark comedy surrounding Ricardo (Malloy) who wakes up in a hospital with no memory after being shot in the head, to learn from the police (Stevens, Lo) that he just might be a serial killer. With the help of the girl who shot him (Klikunas) and his strange but caring brother (Fuerstinger) he must dig through the remains of his life to learn if it's true.
The movie is written and directed by Bill Doty who has created comedy shorts for TBS, Funny or Die, Comedy Central and Adult Swim. Bill's first feature length film "Ghostumentary" played at the Egyptian in 2015.
Fugued Up was filmed exclusively in Idaho at locations including Boise Brewing, Tango's Empanadas, Bodega Boise, The Pain Center, as well as various outdoor and notable areas.
Larry Thomas will be attending the premiere along with several other cast and crew members. The cast and crew will be available for interviews, radio appearances, prior to the premiere, and available for in-person interviews the day of.
Also on hand will be Jan Broberg who was the subject of the Netflix documentary Abducted in Plain Sight.
