How often do you get to hear three harpists playing together? It is a rare and extraordinary event, and we have three sublime harpists joining us this Sunday for our first Free@3 concert of February. Playing works by Damase, Debussy, and Milhaud, among others, you will be transported into a realm of glorious music that you will not soon forget.
Our musicians are Lynne Aspnes, professor emerita of harp at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance; Allison Reece, professional harpist and editor of Harp Column Magazine, she is a frequent player with our GR symphony and graduate of the University of Michigan where she studied with Lynne Aspnes; Martha Waldvogel-Warren, professional harpist and certified harp therapy practitioner, has performed with many orchestras, her own ensemble, and received her degrees from Ball State and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Christopher Kantner, former principal flutist for the GR Symphony, is a special guest at this concert.
As always, our concerts are free and open to the public. We hope you will join us, this is a unique and extraordinary event - not to be missed!
