Hello! I am working on my Mindfulness and Meditation Teaching Certification Program (MMTCP) with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. One of the requirements is that I teach a 6 week class with a minimum of 6 students.
I'd like to work with teens and I think this will be a great opportunity to begin!
I am currently a certified PART program instructor for the Benson Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine and I also teach for Calmer Choice.
If you have or know a teen who may be interested, please have them reach out to me. I'd be happy to meet with them either in person or on zoom and they can decide if they'd like to work with me.

Teens' Breathe You Got This
FREE 6 session course that meets for 75 minutes once a week
Sunday, May 1st - Sunday, June 5th from 7:30-8:45pm

This part is for your parents and/or guardians:
Session 1: Introduction to Mindfulness
Session 2: Mindfulness of the Body
Session 3: Mindfulness of Emotions
Session 4: Working w/ Thoughts and Beliefs
Session 5: The Wise Heart
Session 6: Your Practice in the World

...and this next section is for you-the teen! After all, you're the one giving up your valuable time! Don't you want to know what you can expect to get out of it?!

Each session will include a guided sit; the practice of sitting quietly and focusing your mind on one thing (aka mindfulness). It's how we train our brains to work for us and not against us!

You will learn tools that are easy to remember and you can use them whenever you notice that you need them. The work is to notice when you need them. It gets easier with practice and that's what we'll be doing each week, practicing!

There will be plenty of time for Questions and Answers! If I don't know the answer, I'll have it for you the following week.

This is an opportunity for you to get to know yourself better. Mindfulness is the vehicle and you're the driver. This is a very much go at your own comfort level experience.
