Are you an employer whose staff is made up of caregivers and are unsure how to assist them so they can be successful within your company and at home?
The Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging (MNRAAA) is sponsoring a free caregiver educational session for employers in Granite Falls on Thursday, June 6 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm to provide employers with resources, tools and best practices to improve the caregiving experience. There will also be an opportunity to visit and ask questions of local service providers.According to the Family Caregiver Alliance, 1 in 6 working adults report that they are a caregiver to an aging relative or friend.
As much as 70% of working caregivers suffer work-related difficulties due to their dual roles. Caregiving is an important role in many of our lives. Whether that is caring for an older parent, spouse or friend; it can fulfill a need and be rewarding, and at times, be one of the greatest stresses in a person’s life.
