About NDWBF

The fair is organized annually by the National Book Trust, India (under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India). It attracts participation from all major publishing houses across the globe and opens up a gateway to the publishing and intellectual world of South Asia. In 2021, the fair was organized virtually and the virtual exhibition platform got more than 2.8 million hits – with visitors from 70 countries across the world, and major Indian and foreign publishers as exhibitors.

The Theme

The theme for NDWBF 2022 is Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India and is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and
economic identity.
