For our August luncheon, we are excited to feature as our main speaker - Carol Andersen - Supplier Diversity Advocate/SBLO at Space Solutions in Palo Alto and Space Solutions-Robotics in Pasadena

Carol Andersen is the Supplier Diversity Advocate/SBLO at Space Solutions in Palo Alto and Space Solutions-Robotics in Pasadena who also serves as the Supply Chain Compliance Manager for both business units. In this position, Ms. Andersen identifies strategic initiatives to help Space Solutions achieve its supplier diversity goals and objectives to maximize the corporation's utilization of small businesses through subcontracting and partnering initiatives. Ms. Andersen is also responsible for the development and implementation of all related policies and procedures, compliance and reporting activities as well as outreach efforts.

Ms. Andersen holds a BS in Accounting, and possesses 20 years of professional Supply Chain experience. She held a variety of increasingly responsible positions within Space Solutions, including Supply Chain MRO Manager and is widely recognized for her innovation and leadership. In addition, she is Lean/Six Sigma green belt certified and is an active Board Member for the Industry Counsel for Small Business Development.

She is passionate about enhancing subcontracting bidding opportunities for small business concerns and ensuring Space Solution's compliance and performance to all Small Business goals. She utilizes her experience to counsel suppliers and increase awareness internally through training and benchmarking.Carol enjoys spending time with her two sons, playing with her green-cheeked conure (accurately named Bird), and painting.
