For our April luncheon, we are excited to feature as our main speaker - Timothy O. McLaughlin C.P.M. - Manager, Supplier Diversity & Community Involvement

Tim is responsible for developing, maintaining and administering San Jose Water's Utility Supplier Diversity Program (USDP) and represents San Jose Water as Manager of Community Involvement.

In addition to his role with San Jose Water, Tim is the President of the Industry Council for Small Business Development (ICSBD), a Silicon Valley Based organization focusing on the growth of small and diverse businesses in the Bay Area. Tim is also serves on the Institute of Supply Management's (ISM) Diversity Committee, the Disabled Veteran Business Alliance Advisory Council and the National Utility Diversity Council's (NUDC) Advisory Committee.

Tim also chairs San Jose Water's corporate giving program, which supports nearly 100 organizations within the San Jose Water service territory.

Prior to accepting his current position at San Jose Water Company, Tim lead the Prime Supplier Program at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, where he worked for several years in the capacity of Supplier Diversity Consultant, creating unique and innovative programs to manage supplier subcontracting and increase spending with minority businesses. Prior to his employment at PG&E Tim also worked in supply management for the Boeing Company, Edison International and AT&T / Lucent Technologies / Alcatel-Lucent.

Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and his Masters of Science in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Brigham Young University. He is also a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.).

Tim will be joined by several of his Operation's Group decision makers who will discuss upcoming opportunities for small and diverse businesses. In addition, San Jose Water prime contractors will be there, discussing their upcoming subcontracting needs.
