Flagstaff Sustainability Leaders Course

Our 8-week Flagstaff Sustainability Leaders training program educates and equips participants to be sustainability leaders and advocates for climate action in the Flagstaff community. As a Flagstaff Sustainability Leader, you will have the opportunity to:

LEARN about climate change science and local impacts,

MEET local sustainability leaders through discussions and presentations,

SHARE what you learn with your community through effective communication, and

ACT on what you learn to inspire yourself and others to take sustainable action.

Dates: Every Thursday from 9/30/21 - 11/18/21, except Wed. 11/10/21

Time: 5:30 - 8:30 pm

October 14 | Climate Justice- Equity, Vulnerability, and Collective Action
October 21 | Waste Minimization and Behavior Change
October 28 | Food Systems and Consumption
November 4 | Water, Energy, and Structural Change
November 10 (WEDNESDAY CLASS) | Sustainable Land Use and Transportation
November 18 | Review, Volunteer Requirements, and Celebrate

Cost: $50 (sliding scale offered based upon ability to pay - see application for details)
