It seems like no matter what we do, real happiness evades us. No matter who we are, we all face the difficulties of life and long to be free of our many layers of pain and suffering. How is such peace of mind to be found? The tradition of Lojong, or mind training, in Vajrayana Buddhism shows us that in order to open the door to happiness, we need to unravel our usual way of going about it. Rather than continually trying to get what we want for ourselves, we actually feel better when we loosen our grip and shift our attention to the happiness we can bring to others.
This retreat, led by Allison Choying Zangmo, will draw upon gentle movement and yoga, breathwork, contemplative practice, and meditation as a way to relax our focus and change some of our deepest habits so that we can gradually find the key to being at ease.
