Soft launch pop-up of Chef Melvin's new Filipino-Hawaiian venture upcoming brick and mortar, Hapa Barkada, on June 23. Soft launch will be at food truck, Hapa Howie's.

Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer of PCG-San Francisco, will deliver the welcome remarks at the Opening Ceremony of World Beat

All the DOT (Philippine Dept of Tourism)/ DTI (Philippine Dept of Trade and Investment) booths will be decorated with Boracay Vibe theme (at the Asia Pacific Village)

"Harmony of Cultures: Celebrating Philippine Festivals and Dances"
The Philippine Department of Tourism-San Francisco (DOT) will have a festive 60 min live-music show at the amphitheater (featuring 5 festivals with a party atmosphere).

- June 25 (Sun) at the World Beat 
Food demo by Chef Carlo Lamagna of Magna Kusina and Magna Kubo; at 2pm-3pm at the Cultural Center Tent, World Beat
Chef Carlo is one of Food and Wine Best New Chefs 2021, and a 2022 James Beard Finalist for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific

- June 23-July 1, 2023 FILIPINO FOOD WEEK (State of Oregon)
Visit your local participating Filipino food business at THEIR location. Watch out for further announcements for a list of participating restaurants/ food cart/ food businesses during Filipino Food Week in the State of Oregon

CONTEST RULES: 
1. For every time that diners and/ or customers dine in, buy take out food, buy from PARTICIPATING food establishments, they can take a selfie/ photo at that business location, post and share it on social media with the hashtag #FilipinoFoodOregon and #Philippines
2. Customers with the social media post with the most "reactions" (likes, hearts, etc) and most shares will win $300 cash, with some other winners winning consolation prizes like gift certificates to restaurants/ food carts/ food establishments.
3. Social media posts/ photos should be marked between the dates of June 23- July 1, 2023

Finalist of 2022 The Great American Recipe, Fil-Am cook Christina McAlvey, is collaborating with a brewery to do a dish – likely a trio of tacos (adobo, longanisa, tocino). More information about this will be announced in the coming weeks.
