At the end of July every year pilgrims gather in the city of Santiago de Compostela in Spain and celebrate its biggest festival of the year: the St James Festival. Now Liverpool has the chance to sample the food along one of the routes from the comfort of their own city on Thursday 25th July. Pilgrim’s food is inspired by this ancient pilgrimage as the team curate the menu around the different routes pilgrims take to Santiago de Compostela. This route or ‘camino’ named ‘The French Way’ starts in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port located in the French Pyrénées and runs through Pamplona, Burgos, Castilla Y Leon and on to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, arriving in time for St James Festival. This festival is a chance for pilgrims to celebrate their journey.
