Lillah enjoys writing across genres, including southern gothic, historical fiction, and horror, and her work is often set in her home state of Georgia.

Lawson was a recipient of the UGA Willson Center/Flagpole Magazine’s Micro-Fellowship for her short story Shoofly (2020). Her horror short "The Lady and the Tall Man" was published in the Shiver Anthology, edited by Nico Bell in 2021. Her story "Burn the Witch" appeared in Chromophobia, edited by Sara Tantlinger in 2022. Another story, "Oblong Objects in the Mirror" is set to be published by Cosmic Horror Monthly in 2023.

In addition to writing, Lawson is a genealogist pursuing her BA in History and English Literature, is a member of the Clarke-Oconee Genealogical Society, and proudly serves as secretary on the Madison County Library’s Board of Trustees.
