Accounting/Financial/Banking/Insurance
This course will cover the project management of the full life cycle of an Oracle Cloud implementation. It will discuss in detail the functional and technical requirements gathering, documentation, implementation phases, testing, and a repeatable standard methodology. We will discuss the complexities of a multi-faceted project including the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets modules with topics such as Chart of Accounts Conversion, Interface development, reports development, and account rules.
After the recent completion of a complex real estate implementation, I have learned what works and what doesn’t. My primary responsibility was the implementation of Fixed Assets, but I contributed to the entire Financials footprint. I will discuss the both the technical capabilities as well as personalities and work styles (which play a significant role as well). I will demonstrate the importance of the development of an evolving project plan to account for contingencies which is critical for project success.
I have led over a dozen full life-cycle financial and supply chain implementations for on-premise and cloud ERP systems ranging from Salesforce to Oracle Financial, OTC, and PTP sets of modules with large, multinational teams. My cloud implementations include NetSuite at PROMATIS and Oracle Fusion Applications Release 9 at Colorado Dept. of Human Services. Employers have included Deloitte, Accenture, and Enrich IT and clients have ranged from Seagate to Department of Interior.
