Empowering Veterans to Succeed

Veterans, active-duty soldiers, their families, and supporters will all benefit from the life-changing coaching given at this event from Make a Vet Sweat founder Justin Bohannon, EF Overwatch CEO, Mike Saraille, a 15 min home-workout kettlebell demonstration by Onnit Mater Coach Juan Leija, and a moving story of perserverance from NY Times Best Selling author Geriant Jones.

With the united purpose to make a positive impact on others and by focusing on self-care, Make and Vet Sweat (MAVS) and Supergivers Initiative have teamed up to bring you an event to help redefine PTSD, by providing best practices and solutions in mindset, mindfulness, fitness, and community that supports and accelerates the healing process for our heroes. Furthermore, there will be a focus on veteran's families and loved ones, giving them their own strategies to help support their hero. 

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has become a crippling repercussion for many of our nation's heroes. The effects can not only be felt by the heroes, but by their family and loved ones that so desperately want to show their love and support. But with time, support, and good self-care, the symptoms of PTSD can be drastically reduced, if not totally healed.

MAVS is a nonprofit organization committed to serving Veterans by sponsoring their applicants at their local gyms for 90 days to sweat out the toxins of PTSD with like-minded people.

Sponsors and vendors will be present with giveaways including Lunch from FtimealsRX, Coffee provided by Scars and Stripes Co., Water donated by Richard's Rainwater, $300 gun range voucher from the Range Austin, a 90-day video lead workout plan, a Bowflex Select Tech adjustable kettlebell, Onnit kettlebell and gratitude journals donated by a local author. Proceeds for this event will be donated to MAVS, providing a substantial influx of memberships to applicants on their waiting list.
