Drum Workshop

Master Drummer  Ibrahima Kolipe Camara teaching the full orchestration of African rhythms including the djembe , djundjun,  and sangbang or even your conga. The 1 hr intensive will focus on technique, coordination, accompaniments, and a range of rhythmic feelings from Guinea and Mali.  Rhythms will be broken in parts to assist your understanding of timing, and the different accompaniments within an African drumming orchestra.  Even if you have never played the drum before, come through and enjoy the energy and spirit that Kolipe brings to traditional African music that is undoubtedly infectious.

There will be a vendor on site for you to purchase drums if you don't already have one, we are sorry due to COVID, we can't rent out drums.  Bring some water and your learning spirit
