Dine On A Mat

On Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, internationally acclaimed chef, Fatmata Binta, will bring her interactive dinner series to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the first time. Partnering with the lifestyle brand, Afro in CLT, the event will immerse guests in a five-course, al fresco dining experience that stimulates the senses and transports them to a whole new world.

From West Africa to premier cities across the Caribbean, Europe, and the U.S., Chef Binta traverses the globe to feature her unique Dine on a Mat culinary experience. This interactive event promises to satisfy the appetite for flavorful cuisine, enchanting music, and captivating moments by incorporating key elements of her Fulani heritage.

Chef Binta is committed to sharing her heritage and traditional cooking techniques through demonstration and storytelling. Additionally, she is a vocal advocate for women in culinary and the importance of sustainability.
