"Dawn of the Light" Public Film Screening

This newly released 50-minute film follows the personal search for truth and meaning by eight people from different parts of the world, their discovery of divine teachings now revolutionizing human thought and behavior. This is one of a series of events hosted by the Baha'i community in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of it's founders, the Bab ("the Gate" in Arabic). The teachings of the Bab and Baha'u'llah are understood to be divine in origin brought to all of humanity for us to build a society that is truly just, peaceful and prosperous. Despite the turmoil in the world, people are finding these teachings to be both personally beneficial and a tool for bettering their community. The Baha'i Faith is an independent religion with followers in virtually every country and from every class, race and culture. It is based on the fundamental principle of unity in diversity: the oneness of God, of religion, and of the human family. The Bab urged all to seek truth with independent hearts. This is an invitation to do that. The program will include music, local perspectives, and opportunities for small group conversations following the film.
