David Kalb Photography: "Portraits at The Paint Chip", will be on display as part of Photography Month Sacramento. This annual event, which takes place each April, celebrates the photographic arts throughout Yolo, Sacramento, Placer and Nevada County.
According to Kalb, "I've been a street photographer for the past 10 years; however, with recent travel limitations, my focus expanded to include portraiture. My aim is to capture a model's beauty and personality by using creative lighting, interesting backdrops, and evocative poses."
Kalb's framed Portraits at The Paint Chip were selected from thousands he has taken in the past few years. While many of his images are from local studio sessions, several were made at Valley Of Fire State Park and Nelson Ghost Town as part of a recent photography workshop in Southern Nevada.
Maia Sturges, co-owner of The Paint Chip said, "it's an honor to have David display his work. We have matted and framed some of his prior exhibits and award-winning photography and enjoy seeing his unique images". To meet David in person, stop by The Paint Chip for an informal artist reception on Saturday, April 2, from 4-6.
