An amazing evening of baroque concertos performed with unbridled passion and virtuosity!

Recorder maestro Piers Adams and his iconic baroque quartet Red Priest – described in the New York Times as “the wildly virtuosic little band” - have toured the word for over 25 years bringing music of the 17th and 18th centuries vividly to life, attracting the highest acclaim from audience and press.

For this special concert as part of a series, Adams and his Red Priest co-founder, violinist Julia Bishop, have created Red Priest Strings - an expanded version of the group to celebrate the beauty and sheer exuberance of the baroque concerto repertoire.

The programme will feature recorder concertos by Vivaldi, Telemann and Sammartini alongside string masterworks by Handel, Corelli, Vivaldi and Rameau, and promises to be an evening of joyful, heart-on-sleeve musical celebration.
