Are you or someone you know looking for an exciting job in the local nonprofit sector? If so, we hope you will attend the Alaska Zoo's Community Hiring Fair happening in the Zoo Gateway Hall (adjacent to the upper parking area) on Sunday, February 26th, 2023 from Noon-4pm. This hiring event will feature local nonprofits including Bird Treatment and Learning Center, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Alaska Botanical Gardens, Equine Assisted Therapy Alaska, Alaska Native Heritage Center and the Alaska Zoo!
This will be an opportunity for interested applicants to learn about open and upcoming positions and internships. Participants may have access to some organizations offering in-person interviews as well as general information on the jobs available in the spring hiring push, organizational information, applications and insight into employment opportunities. Light refreshments will be provided. Free entry to the hiring event in the Gateway Hall. Free zoo admission for the day for anyone who submits an application to any of the organizations in attendance. Everyone else who enters the zoo will pay regular rates or use their membership at the gate. Those who visit the zoo can plan to see Cranbeary the polar bear receiving special International Polar Bear Day enrichment at 1pm. We will have a polar bear mascot, a vendor selling handmade polar bear items to benefit Cranbeary and other fun things happening.
