HEADLINER IRA SUMMERS, hails from Oakland California and is a graduate of MIT, who found that after getting divorced and sending his sons to college, thought he could do whatever he wanted. Coming from a largely dysfunctional family that loves to share, Ira decided to try his hand at standup comedy, and has been performing all across the country since then at places like Wiley's Comedy Joint in Dayton, Flappers Comedy Club in Las Angeles, The Drop Comedy Club in Indiana, and Comedy Cove, Jr's and several others. Ira enjoys talking about his sons, his siblings and his mother (but never his ex-wife, because she will sense it).
Ira has performed at clubs in 25 states. He has won the first Over-60 Comedy Competition, been a finalist in the US Comedy Contest and performed in the World Series of Comedy. Ira has participated in the Oakland Comedy Festival, the Comedy Fringe Festival, the Portland Comedy Festival and the Laughlin Laugh Fest.
