Wendy Sue Knecht always had a passion for travel, even as a little girl. After pursuing her degree at the University of Arizona, she became a flight attendant for the world's most iconic airline, Pan Am. Her rich and amazing career included many humorous adventures, observations, and life lessons. Her story is a mix of hilarious, seat gripping moments, and inspiring tales of heroism. A love of writing compelled her to share her story of an era like no other in aviation history.

Destined to be a traveler...In Wendy's own words:

To me, it's all about Amor Fati - a love of one's fate: a resolute, enthusiastic acceptance of everything that has happened in one's life. Gratitude is everything.
Ever since I can remember wanting anything, I've wanted to travel. My fifth-grade composition, "What I Want Most in My Life," detailed the need for $200,000 so "I CAN GO AROUND THE WORLD." I wrote that "curiosity killed the cat," and I wanted to make sure curiosity never killed me. Therefore, if I saw everything there was to see, there would be no danger of curiosity killing me! Perfect logic for a ten-year-old child. ---from Chapter 9, Life, Love, and a Hijacking: My Pan Am Memoir

After pursuing my degree at the University of Arizona, I became a flight attendant for the world's most iconic airline, Pan Am. My rich and amazing career included many wonderful adventures, discoveries, and life lessons. I wrote my personal memoir to memorialize a time in aviation like no other in history. What a privilege to be part of such an era! Traveling literally opened my eyes up to the world of possibility! After Pan Am, I held on to my airline benefits and worked for Delta, travel forever embedded in my being. Travel was the steppingstone to all things...

Along the way I became an inventor, on-air spokesperson, and a product entrepreneur. I have appeared on QVC and other networks hundreds of times, as the on-air spokesperson for the line of travel bags I designed, as well as numerous other products. I now focus mainly on bags and organization...though I can't resist any good idea!

The show runs for 80 minutes without an intermission and is rated PG. VIP seating for this special event is $150pp and includes "First Class" seating, a reception, and a signed copy of Wendy's award - winning book, "Life, Love and Hijacking - My Pan Am Memoir". Companion tickets are $100 and general admission $40. For tickets and additional information call (520) 882-9721 or visit www.invisibletheatre.com .

Invisible Theatre Managing Artistic Director Susan Claassen is looking forward to seeing Wendy again. Their paths crossed when Claassen was in her "Edith Head" character "I first met Wendy when she reached out to share that her first Pan Am Uniform was designed by Edith Head! Our friendship has grown as has my love and admiration for the Pan Am Foundation. You might say it was a perfect "Fit"! (see attached photo).
