Coin Grading Workshop - Spotting Traces of Wear!

Join Francois Rufiange - This presentation, followed by a hands-on workshop, focuses on learning about detecting traces of wear. In other words, learn more about the differences between the Mint State (MS) and the About Uncirculated (AU) grades. You will learn about evaluating wear, its location and how best to examine a coin to make that determination. We will also present a detailed review of current Canadian Numismatic grading documentation, including the latest Grading guide by Andre Langlois. We will show detailed pictures at the macro level to help you see the differences between AU and MS coins Following this 45-minute presentation, we will, in groups of two, actually examine coins in those grades and challenge you to spot the differences. Bring your loupes, preferably 5X and 10X.nks for all your help.
