About the Presenter, Dr. Cathy Whitlock
Dr. Cathy Whitlock is a Regents Professor Emerita of Earth Sciences at Montana State University and a Fellow of the Montana Institute on Ecosystems. She is nationally and internationally recognized for her research and leadership activities in the field of past climate and environmental change, particularly in the Yellowstone region. She is co-author of the Montana Climate Assessment, the Montana Climate Solutions Plan, and a recent report on Climate Change and Human Health in Montana. Cathy and a team recently released the Greater Yellowstone Climate Assessment (gyclimate.org), the first report of its kind focused on an ecosystem. Cathy has received numerous awards and honors for her work, and in 2018, she became the first person from a Montana university to be elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
